About
The Studio, and the Therapist Behind It
The story
From a room on Richmond Road to Kensington Village.
Bodycraft began as a single studio on Richmond Road in Twickenham, built around a simple idea: that massage, done well and by the same pair of hands every time, is one of the most effective ways to manage the physical cost of modern life. Julia ran that studio for years, building a clientele who came back not because it was convenient but because the work was good.
The move into Kensington Village brought the studio to the heart of W14, minutes from Kensington Olympia, and closer to the desk workers, gym members and residents who need it most. What did not change is the constant at the centre of every session: a clinical anatomy focus, a named therapist who knows your history, and treatments built around the individual body rather than a fixed menu of routines.
The Twickenham studio is closed. Bodycraft is now, and only, in Kensington Village, W14.

The session
How a session actually works.
01
Consultation and history
Julia asks what hurts, how long it has hurt, what you do all day, and any conditions or injuries to work around. This is not a formality.
02
Tailored pressure and technique
The treatment is built to your tissue and tolerance on the day. Julia checks in as she works and adjusts throughout.
03
Treatment
Focused, unhurried work on the areas of complaint and the muscles that contribute to them. No rushing to the next client.
04
Aftercare advice
Stretching, heat, hydration, and what to expect over the next 48 hours, so the session keeps working after you leave.
Why people come back
Four reasons clients return, year after year.
A named therapist, every time
You see Julia at every visit. She knows your history, your back, your shoulders, and what worked last time. That continuity is rare, and it is the reason results compound.
Built around your history
Your session is shaped by what you do all day, what has hurt before, and what your body needs today. Not a script, not a routine, not the same thirty minutes as the last person.
A clinical anatomy focus
Julia reads the body in front of her and works the structures causing the problem, not just where it aches. That is the difference between relief for an hour and relief that lasts.
